2. 25-1279 Request by Keith Stachowiak, KSK Architects, LLC., for variances to maximum height and required materials for an accessory dwelling unit at 1422 N. 69th Street
Pat Cochran 1438 n 69th Street
I am writing for my neighbor Pat Cochran who is not comfortable with technology and she asked that I assist. Pat is 85 and we have completed in my back porch. Larry Schultz-her neighbor 414-303-9927
I very strongly oppose this project. I bought my house, which is just behind Joe's property, more than 20 years ago because of its green space, quiet, and privacy. The proposed project would place a 2-story house just yards from my front door. Instead of being surrounded by old-growth trees and open sky, I'd be staring at the back side of a building that doesn't belong there. I'd have virtually no sunlight on the west side of my house; most likely killing all the plants and flowers I've put in and tended for years. It would also decrease my property value, because who would want a giant building in their front yard?
We all want Joe back in his house, and I don't understand the purpose of this new building. It would change the character of the whole neighborhood - a quiet, intimate area of dead-end streets and small houses. It would dramatically decrease the green space, which absolutely helped us get through the recent flood with little damage.
Please deny permission for these destructive plans.
